Born and raised in El Salvador, in the heart of Central America I work for both local and international clients.
I live in a tiny two rooms apartment, one is for me and the other one is my art studio. Is a very simple space, with a nice big window in front of my drawing table who provides a nice amount of natural light. When I wake up and see through my window I have in front of my eyes a monumental volcano and in my neighbor’s back yard a spectacular tree of mangoes, I’m lucky to live in the tropics, I’m surrounded of an exuberant nature, so I have the opportunity to observe a lot of volcanoes, lakes, flowers, trees, seeds, animals, bugs, people, colonial towns, artisans, etc.
Besides of that I always have with me my sketchbook, my water brushes and my perlees.
I draw every single day, wherever I am. Generally, Sundays is the day that I spend illustrating properly. I feel more comfortable using wet techniques, preferably watercolor and inks.
I spend my days teaching, at the gym and training aikido, drawing, illustrating and sharing time with my amazing dog Chilaquila, a little Chihuahua who has a strong personality. She is my beloved companion during my working nights.
